Should I Invite Them To Come Get A Pie?

The Big Question This Time Of The Year If Youโ€™re A Realtor.

Should I invite them to come get a pie? Thatโ€™s the big question this time of the year if youโ€™re a realtor.

A lot of teams and groups are doing pie giveaways, inviting all their clients over the years, to either to pick up a pie, or swing by, or drop off a pie, to say thank you for doing business with them, for referring people, and for supporting their organization.

The question I get a lot from people on my team or from people on my network is, this person already moved away, should I still send them a holiday card or send them pies? Should I still reach out to them? Thereโ€™s probably a small chance theyโ€™re back in the East for Thanksgiving. Will that be a waste?

The answer is, ๐๐Ž, ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐Ž๐“ ๐›๐ž ๐š ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž.

Send that card or send that pie. Weโ€™re in a relationship business and we love the people we do business with 99% of the time.

We like doing more business with them, we like working with them in the future, we like working with referrals from them, and just because they moved to another part of the country does not mean that you cannot keep a relationship that could be mutually beneficial.

You also never know what context they still have in your market or what they will have in the future. I get referrals from people from California, Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas, all the time, because we keep in touch and Iโ€™m happy to help them with anything they need.

So if youโ€™re thinking about who you should be touching base this holiday season, the answer is everybody in your database. Those you have a great relationship with, no matter where they live.

If you have any questions on how to execute some of these things, reach out, I would be happy to share a playbook.

Have a great thanksgiving! Talk to you soon!
