We often talk in business about your WHY… your motivation, what drives you.

A morning conversation with a new agent on our team about our initial business plan and her values & goals reminded me of something I had heard a while back about your WHY. It was a statement that suggested your WHY is usually BULLSHIT. What they meant was that typically your first response to this question is really surface level, the easy answer. Bullshit.

 

What we need to do is question that first response with “why is that important''. Then again with the next response, “why is that important,” and really dig deep. You want to go at least 3 levels deep to get to the true FEELING of what your WHY really is. This feeling is going to drive you. It is going to get you through the really tough days and remind you why you’re doing what you’re doing. So for you, for your family, for your business… don’t just stop at the surface.
