I Was Listening To An Audiobook And Something Hit Me While I Was Listening To It That I Wanted To Share.

The reason why working out and prospecting for new business specifically goes out to my real estate professional friends out there, but it can apply to anyone trying to stick to a new habit.

I was listening to an audiobook and something hit me while I was listening to it that I wanted to share. The reason why I say working out and prospecting for new business this specifically goes out to my real estate professional friends out there, but it can apply to anyone trying to stick to a new habit. Working out and prospecting for new business or growing yourself professionally, or whatever is not automatic.

It's something that you have to put intention behind every single day. It's something that you have to try to get better at, something you need to try to grow at. When you really want to think of a good example here, think about brushing your teeth, which is a habit, right? You do it automatically.

Sometimes you don't even realize you did it, because it happened when you were unconscious versus what we call the practice. Anyone who does yoga knows you go there to get better at it. You need to have the intention to go there. It just doesn't happen without thinking about it. You need to make a decision to get up every day and do that.

It's okay for it to be something that you need to think about doing and proactively do every day. When you flip something and you think about it not as a habit, but as a practice, now you give your mind the ability to realize you do need that attention. You do need to try to get better at it.

If you miss a day working out, you miss a day of doing something that's a practice, it's okay because you're continually trying to do it and get better at it each time.

Hope this is helpful with somebody out there.

Have a great start to 2022!
